Part of Transport & Logistics
Flatbed transport for general and project cargo.
Al Tawfiq Group moves containers, steel, pipe, palletized goods and project cargo on open-deck flatbed trailers across Saudi Arabia, NEOM, the Red Sea and Tabuk. Open decks load from the top, side or by crane, cargo is secured and covered for the road, and out-of-gauge loads are handled with permits. Cross-border transport to Egypt is available under one contract.

LOADING · SECURING · COVER
Open decks, properly handled.
A flatbed’s advantage is access — cargo can be loaded from the top, the side or by crane, which suits everything from a craned steel section to a forklifted pallet. That flexibility only pays off if the load is secured correctly, so every move is planned around how the cargo sits and how it’s restrained.
Steel and heavy items are chocked and lashed with the right rating and spread across the deck to keep within axle limits; pipe and tube run against stanchions; and weather-sensitive freight is sheeted and tarped. Containers are collected from port and delivered to site, twist-locked to the deck.
For over-width or over-length freight that still sits within flatbed limits, we handle the out-of-gauge permits and, where a lift is needed at either end, add boom-truck lifting from the same group — so one team owns the load from collection to signed delivery.

DECISION GUIDE
Flatbed, curtain-sided or lowbed?
Most general cargo goes on a flatbed. Here’s when a sibling trailer is the better call.
| Consideration | Flatbed (TL·02) | Curtain-sided (TL·04) | Lowbed (TL·01) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Loading | Top, side or crane | Fast side access, full length | Ramp or crane, low deck |
| Weather | Sheeted / tarped | Enclosed by curtains | Sheeted / tarped |
| Best cargo | Containers, steel, pipe, crates | Palletized, weather-sensitive | Tall / heavy plant |
| Height | Within legal loaded height | Within legal loaded height | Tall / over standard |

QUERIES
Flatbed questions, answered.
Flatbed trailers carry general and project cargo on an open deck — containers, steel, pipe, palletized goods and crates. The open deck loads from the top, side or by crane, which suits a wide range of freight.
Yes. We collect 20 ft and 40 ft containers from Saudi ports and deliver them to site, twist-locked to the deck. Give us the port, container count and destination and we'll quote the move.
Loads are chocked and lashed with rated restraints and spread across the deck to stay within axle limits. Pipe runs against stanchions, and weather-sensitive freight is sheeted and tarped for the road.
Saudi Arabia, NEOM, the Red Sea coast, Tabuk and Duba, with road transport nationwide. Cross-border transport to Egypt is available and coordinated under one contract.
Over-width or over-length loads that still sit within flatbed limits are handled with the appropriate permits. For loads that are too tall or too heavy for a flatbed, a lowbed (TL·01) is the better rig — send the dimensions and we'll advise.
Both carry general cargo. A flatbed is fully open for crane and top loading and suits steel, pipe and containers. Curtain-sided (TL·04) is enclosed with curtains for weather protection and fast full-length side access — better for palletized, weather-sensitive freight.
Use the dispatch request on this page — give the cargo type, weight, dimensions or container count, the pickup and destination, and the date. The transport team replies with a deck match and a price.
Yes. Boom-truck lifting (TL·05) for loading and offloading and warehouse or yard storage (TL·06) can run on the same contract, so one team handles the whole movement.
